HGV Class 1 Driver - Sovereign Transport Services
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for shunting trailers between sites, and transporting goods and materials to various locations.
This role is based at Sovereign Transport Services, Leyland.
Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or repairs needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Truck Driver
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations
- Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles in various weather conditions
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members
