A transport and logistics firm in Liverpool has received a national award in recognition of its outstanding performance from Palletways UK, Europe's largest express palletised freight network.
Sovereign Transport, a member of Palletways UK, received a Platinum Award - the company’s highest accolade - for operational excellence and consistently high service and sales performance in supporting its customers this year.
The award was presented to Sovereign Transport at a Gala Dinner to celebrate Palletways’ 30th anniversary. To qualify for a Platinum Award, members had to grow their year-on-year volumes across both domestic and European markets, continually achieve outstanding service levels, undertake active engagement with the Armed Forces community, and drive forward sustainable practices.

From our humble beginnings where we operating with just one vehicle, to now delivering over 750,000 pallets per year, we have always strived to be a forerunner in growth and service.”
Warwick Trimble, Network Director at Palletways UK, said: “It is a delight to present Sovereign Transport, one of top performing UK members with this Platinum Award and we thank them for their ongoing efforts in driving the network forwards. The company is taking action to not only upgrade its fleet, but also take a more efficient and sustainable approach to logistics with the introduction of two new double decker trailers. It also has a first rate track record for reliability, reporting that 99% of deliveries are made on time.
“In addition to its operational excellence, Sovereign Transport engages in a number of iniatives to raise awareness around key issues, most recently its MD took part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of The Owen McVeigh Foundation. The company also recently partnered with the NHS to promote organ donation.”
